Hat-trick-hero Jack Lynn and Orlando City B knocked off intra-state rivals Inter Miami II 6-0 Saturday evening at Osceola Heritage Park.
It was Lynn’s second multi-scoring match of the season, pushing his goal total to five in just five appearances for OCB.
For Inter Miami II, it’s the second time this season they’ve conceded six goals or more in a match. In the first meeting between the two sides, Inter Miami II claimed all three points in a 2-0 victory.
Lynn found the back of the net in the 8th, 63rd and 85th minutes with his final goal being the dagger on the evening.
OCB found the back of the net three times in each half, with Victor Yan, Brandon Hackenberg and Wilfredo Rivera finding themselves on the scoresheet as well.
A breaking of the pattern match, OCB found the back of the net early through Lynn, breaking a 419-minute scoreless streak across MLS NEXT Pro matches. The monumental breakthrough saw them find a result for the first time since week one, breaking a five match skid that saw them go 0-2-3 during that process.
Lynn’s hat-trick has them riding high spirits before a week 10 matchup against FC Cincinnati 2.
